Eat Fast Food – Lose Weight
When I went UP on the scale from 120lbs to 170lbs, I did everything right.
I ate the most grainy multigrain bread that money yeast could produce, with egg whites, dark leafy green salads, a publication and water.
If it wasn’t organic or low calorie, I didn’t buy it. I was sucked into the Whole Foods system.
When I gave up and decided to go back to the happy life, I thought some concessions would have to be made.
If I’m going to eat fast food 4-8 times a week (which I’ve been doing for 6 months now), I wouldn’t be able to scarf down a Big Mac with large fries and a soda every time. I should find a middle ground, lean into true fullness and make my stomach shrink.

For number 1, I tested the buffet dishes on the value fast food menu to make sure number 2 applies to me. Here’s what I ate
Wendy’s – Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Sm Fry, Sm Coke
McDonald’s – McChicken, Sm Fry, Sm Coke
Burger King – Whopper Jr, 4 nuggets, Sm Coke *my current favorite. a great, fresh, rich little burger that you CANNOT feel guilty about eating.*
Taco Bell – CrunchWrap Supreme only
KFC – A bowl of mashed potatoes is a luxurious treat, but my side dish is baked beans and popcorn chicken
White Castle – 3 Jalepeno cheeseburgers, Sm onion rings
Dominos – personal pie, thin crust

Of course, I have some explanations for why this works…
When we try to be good about our eating habits, as you try to be, and as I have tried to be for so many years, the temptation to be bad is constantly there. We feel bad when we are good! So we answer poorly. It happens all the time, after days, months or even years of a proper, stable diet, things go wrong. We cheat. When we binge, we get drunk much harder than any of the meals I described above.
Here’s the thing, if you ate any of the meals listed above, you’d still be hungry. It’s a problem.
Here we come to the concept of true fullness, where we must judge the difference between physical and spiritual hunger. During binge eating, our mental desire to eat dominates all physical needs, and we overeat, our stomach stretches, we grow. When this happens more and more, it puts a strain on our body.
Anyway, I love fast food. Do not you? That is why true fullness is so great. When you know true fullness and recognize it beyond the mental urge to eat, you can eat whatever you want.
The restaurants in this country, without the fancy high-end style of course, offer oversized portions. When the normally hardworking dieter is out to dinner and partying, they indulge and eat a grossly oversized meal with drinks and dessert. What I’ve learned to do, more or less, is to eliminate the hangover problem entirely by living with moderate to mediocre pleasure when I’m really hungry. So when a special occasion comes and I’m out to eat, I eat the right portion, which is about 1/3 of the plate, and I feel completely full, happy and satisfied. My stomach has shrunk. I’m smaller.
I hope this quick explanation of why eating fast food has worked for me inspires you in some way. You don’t have to limit what you want to eat. Limiting yourself makes you more prone to breaking your own rules, getting disappointed and giving up. Enjoy yourself in moderation and let your stomach tell you when to stop eating, not your head.
