Daily:
• Feed your lizard and replace the water bowl with fresh water

For young people and adults:

• 30 percent: – Green vegetables rich in calcium, eg alfalfa, florets, mustard greens, dandelions, spinach greens, cabbage, broccoli and green beans.
• 10 percent: – other vegetables, for example zucchini, bell pepper, grated carrot, tomatoes and sprouts.
• 10 percent: – other foods, for example bread, cereal and commercial bearded dragon food.
Adults can be fed once a day and young twice a day. Young dragon vegetables should be cut into smaller pieces and given smaller insects so that they can be eaten easily. Hatchlings, because they grow quickly, should be given more protein and fed twice a day. Their food ratio should include 60 percent protein, 25 percent calcium-rich vegetables, and 15 percent other food.
By making a care list for your dragon, you reduce the risk of forgetting to complete a chore and neglecting your pet.
Dragons should be taken out of the cage from time to time, so handling your pet properly requires the following do’s and don’ts:
