Coconut Water Shaved Ice Recipes – Choco Coffee Mountain, Sweet Milk Fruit Medley and Red Bean Ice
These coconut water shaved ice recipes take this classic dessert to the next level. It’s no longer just a kid-friendly treat or holiday snack you enjoy once every few years. Shaved ice makers are easy to find online and inexpensive to add to your kitchen arsenal.
Kids always love shaved ice, but adding coconut water to the mix adds a touch of sophistication, making it suitable for any adult occasion. Your guests will leave dazzled by thinking how delicious and original your coconut water shaved ice recipe was.
coconut water is lightly sweetened, helping to eliminate the need for artificial sweeteners. It’s also wholesome and conjures up visions of a tropical paradise, creating a fun and relaxing vibe. Cocont water is packed with potassium and vitamin C, plus it has many other health benefits, including helping your circulation, boosting your immune system, cleansing your skin, and detoxifying your body.
In the summer, it’s great for kids or barbecues because it’s packed with electrolytes, which help rehydrate your body 15 times better than sports drinks, like Gatorade or Vitamin Water, without the calories and artificial sweeteners.
So here are my coconut water shaved ice recipes. Enjoy!!!
Coffee Mountain Choco Shaved Ice Recipe
For this recipe, you’re going to want to brew about two to three cups of coffee with coconut water. Coconut water is slightly sweet and will be undetectable in your coffee machine after a few uses.
Add and stir the chocolate syrup until it dissolves in the hot coffee. When it comes to room temperature, freeze this coffee in your ice shaver containers.
After shaving off the ice, top this sweet, chocolatey coffee with chocolate syrup, thin slices of candied almonds, Hershey’s Oreo crumbled white chocolate, thin slices of banana, and a dollop of whipped cream on top. While we’re at it, try adding some all-natural, unsalted peanut butter to it somewhere.
Nobody ever thought of it, but here it is, shaved ice taken to the next level. The next two aren’t as complicated, but nonetheless, classics that you and your kids will love!
Shaved ice recipe with a mixture of sweet milk and fruit
This recipe takes me back to my childhood. I remember cups of mixed fruit from my lunchbox in kindergarten, then in every cafeteria in elementary school and beyond. LOL the fruit mix was one of the only things besides pizza and chocolate milk that I ate or drank in those cafeterias. Ahhh, the memories.
Obviously, we will need the crushed ice machine and our pre-frozen coconut water blocks.
Once the ice is shaved, pour some sweetened condensed milk on top and top with canned fruit mix. And how about some extra condensed milk for good measure?
This one is an old school classic, enjoy!!!
Red Beans and Ice Cream – Shaved Ice Recipe
Besides consuming a lot of shaved ice while living in Hawaii, my childhood consisted of many trips to “J-town,” as my family would call it, or Little Tokyo, in Los Angeles. Ever since I was little, I remember the hole in the wall restaurant, with a little street food stand out front, serving red bean ice cream. I am about to celebrate my 31st birthday and still go to the same place today.
I love this recipe, and it’s a cultural treat, so I thought I’d share it.
You’re going to want the hot kidney beans, which are nice and sweet, with all the juices reduced. You can buy these beans already prepared in any Japanese market. Serve the red kidney beans hot in a small bowl or mug and cover them with a layer of crushed ice about an inch thick and drizzle the top with sweetened condensed milk.
Ahh, so simple, but so good. This one is actually quite healthy because, not only do you get the coconut water, but you also get all the nutrients of kidney beans.
Thanks for checking out my post on my favorite shaved ice recipes I make with coconut water. Enjoy the benefits of coconut water while indulging in a tasty and refreshing dessert. Enjoy!!!
