How I Accidentally Made Her Get Back Together With Me Even Though She Broke Up With Me 1.5 Years Ago
Hello. My girlfriend broke up with me for about 1.5 years. I was so happy with this girl but in the end she broke up with me because she thought we were too different. Only because she was Asian and I was Hispanic. I was ready to spend the rest of my life with this girl but she wasn’t.
She came one day and I confess that I was looking to “get lucky” with her. Instead, the most unlucky thing could have happened. As I was making moves on her, she turned away from me and said, “Sorry, I can’t do this to you anymore. I don’t want to hurt you.” We were a year apart. I was in college and she was in 12th grade in high school. However, I saw her less and less.
I tried desperately to get her back. I remember putting a picture of her and me on my desk in the background. It gave me hope. I gave her two weeks for a period of reflection and during that time I bought an album and filled it with images and stories of the happy times we had had. I realize now that it felt hopeless and really killed my chances of getting back together with her.
That was February 2009. It’s now September 2010. As I write this, I’m also chatting with my beautiful girlfriend… yes, the one who was my ex, all thanks to this guy. I’ve wanted to write this for a while, just to get it all out there and hopefully inspire people to never give up on love.
I was on Facebook, just to kill time. I had just finished a college assignment and my mind drifted to my ex. I hated coming across her profile because usually it was filled with pictures of guys she was seeing. I preferred to look at the photos we had taken at the time. The one I had as wallpaper was my favorite. The sunlight was behind us. Everything seemed fine.
My friends did what they could to make me forget about it. They thought she was stupid for dumping me. They didn’t know her like I did. She was beautiful and was a real family woman, the kind of woman I would like to make my wife in the not too distant future.
I went from a student who had a scholarship in school to the bottom of the class at university, simply because I couldn’t get rid of her. We actually had a class together at one point when she graduated from high school. Talk awkward!
Our anniversary was June 16. It would have been our 2nd anniversary last June. I was tired of thinking about her. There might be some guys out there vying for her right now. I am the one she wants. I just had to show it to him. I went online for advice, typing in Google, “I want my ex back even though it’s been a year.” Stupidly long, I know, but there was quite a bit of information.
my solution
There was so much bullshit online. People claiming to be experts and that. In the end, I narrowed it down to this one guy who lived in the United States. He was in the military and traveled a lot, so he learned a lot about communication and people. His site was quite long; I scrolled through it, scanning everything. He had videos and testimonials and stuff like that. It looked pretty good until I got to the bottom. $39 to download his tips. Now remember. I was at university. It was a lot of money for me. I also live in Australia and the conversion rate meant I would pay close to $50. I had no job, only the Youth Allowance (much like social security for students).
His videos seemed logical. There was one where he talked about the opening move you should use to persuade your ex to get back with you. I watched it and it really made sense. He knew what he was talking about.
There’s a bit in the middle of the page where he describes exactly what’s in his e-book. There’s one in particular that made me quite skeptical, the “instant reconnect technique”. Apparently, this technique would allow me to “trick” my ex into believing that we were still together. What is mind control? Hypnosis? Bah.
I argued for a good half hour but in the end, on a whim, I used the money I was saving for my 21st birthday on this e-book. I’m so glad I clicked the “Add to Cart” button.
No prizes for guessing which technique I switched to immediately as soon as the download link was sent to me. This instant reconnection technique on page 43. I couldn’t help but smile across my face as my eyes scanned the lines of text on the screen. The point of the IR technique was to treat your ex as if you were still dating him. That’s it.
That’s how it happened. I plucked up the courage to call her for lunch on a Tuesday (that was when we were both in college). At the cafe where we were eating, we just chatted idly and I said casually, “Baby bear, use your napkin!” (that’s what I used to call her when we were dating. She looked at me quizzically. I just looked at her and said, “What? You’re my girlfriend after all. His eyes widened then I laughed. Just kidding. Hehe.”
I got a call from her later that night just before I started studying. Apparently that statement triggered a lot of feelings that she had forgotten about since breaking up with me. I was getting happier and after we hung up, I had just set a new time to meet her. THANK YOU T DUB!
We officially got back together on July 29, 2010. I still smile stupidly when I see this confirmation on her “As a couple” Facebook profile, knowing that it’s with me. Everything was so fast but I feel like I’m floating happily among the clouds.
I emailed T Dub, thanking him for his advice in his e-book. If I hadn’t bought it back then, I wouldn’t be back with Kate now. You probably wouldn’t be reading this story now either.
I can’t wait to see what she has planned for my 21st birthday…
