How To Become Taller

If you’re an adult and your bones have finished forming, you probably know that there’s not much you can do to make yourself taller, except for limb lengthening surgeries. Your body uses food to build new muscles and bones, and most of these things happen while you sleep. Make sure you eat a lot (although not so much that you become overweight) and get at least 7.5 hours of sleep a night, but if you need more then take it. Nothing can stand between you and a good night’s rest! That’s when all the magic happens.

As long as we’re talking about your diet, make sure it includes plenty of calcium – a micronutrient that’s vital for healthy bone growth. You can find plenty of calcium in all kinds of dairy products and green vegetables. You’ll also need adequate amounts of vitamin D (you can get it from eating fish or spending time in the sun), as it’s important for both bone and muscle growth. Finally, make sure you get enough zinc (eggs, chocolate, peanuts). Lower zinc levels are associated with lower testosterone levels, which can negatively affect growth. In general, your best bet is to take a multi-vitamin on a daily basis, although you should still do your best to eat as much of the stuff mentioned above as possible.

Another thing I think you should try is some kind of stretching routine, maybe yoga, pilates, the “Salutations to the Sun” routine, or any other tried and true stretching regimen.

The last thing you need to watch out for is your immune system. Getting plenty of vitamin C (fruits, vegetables, and a multivitamin), fish oil supplements, and plenty of rest will help keep you in top shape. And don’t forget regular immunizations against diseases! The reason you want to do this is because certain diseases that you get as a teenager or very young adult can stunt bone growth, which you obviously want to avoid.
