These deposits mainly occur in parts of the blood vessels that have been weakened by high blood pressure or overuse. One important thing to remember about cholesterol is that the liver has to process cholesterol – so if you have poor liver function, you’re likely to have high cholesterol. Completing a liver cleanse is a good first step in lowering your cholesterol. Eating omega-3s, red yeast rice, guggul, garlic, lecithin, and artichokes can help lower these levels naturally.
