If you’re like me, you probably think you don’t need a home water purifier and filter. I used to think so. Then I started researching the quality of the water I consumed (tap water and bottled water). Believe me, I changed my mind quickly!

It is absolutely shocking what is actually in our water supply!

Let me tell you a little about what I found out.

There is much more to our water than good old “H2O”!

Apart from water, there are some beneficial effects on us. A lot of things are very, very bad for us.

We live in a world made possible by over 80,000 synthetic chemical compounds. Where do these powerful chemicals go when they are used? That’s right! To the water supply.

The food we grow is made possible by pesticides. Prescription drugs make our longevity and quality of life possible. High-tech devices like our computers are made possible by a range of highly toxic chemicals such as silicon.

The problem is that these chemicals end up in our water supply and we end up ingesting them! Would you go down to your basement or garage, pick up that bottle of pesticide and squirt it in your mouth? I do not think so!

You probably do if you drink tap water from the water supply of virtually any American city!

A recent study of 29 American cities showed that these cities had traces of at least one pesticide in their water supplies. Many of them had two, three or more!

The same is true for prescription drugs. Traces of many powerful prescription drugs are routinely found in our water supplies. Some scientists believe that the rise of drug-resistant strains of bacteria may be linked to the fact that we are all becoming immune to the effects of antibiotics. A world where antibiotics don’t work would be scary indeed!

At this point, I bet you’re thinking what I’m thinking – if tap water is that bad, I’ll stick with bottled water.

Sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, there are less restrictions on what contaminants are allowed in bottled water than in tap water.

Bottled water companies spend billions every year trying to convince us that their water comes from some deep, clean underground aquifer, when in fact it comes straight from the tap – just like the water at home!

What’s more, if the bottled water you consume has not been transported across state lines, it is not subject to any federal regulation – nothing!

So what’s the answer?

There is only one answer: home water purifiers and filters. In order to protect the health of you and your family, it is imperative that you start filtering your water at home.
