But on the flip side, if you listen to these marketers and authors… almost every idea under the sun is foolproof and getting rich as a business owner is almost certain and failure is impossible.
The thing is, there are too many people selling hope online while often getting a bag of goods.
The hope is that soon you can tell your boss to get lost.
I hope you can work in your pajamas and spend 90% of your time playing with your kids while the money keeps pouring in the door.
I hope you can buy that fancy car in a month or two.
The funny thing is, it takes more than a $47 e-book and a little will to make your way to millions.
But the fact is, not every business idea is good for you just because someone shows you the checks online.
The “hard sell” of hope is nothing new. In fact, I remember sniffing a local ad when I was a teenager where you could easily make thousands of dollars a week in your spare time.
Hey, sounds good to a 17 year old girl making some extra money.
And sure enough, I’ll go to a meeting where you sit through a dog-and-pony show and the host shows you his actual salary! Thousands of dollars a week if you don’t work at all.
Today… the same “marketing and sales” process is spread all over the internet. Big money. Easy work.
“If you have a heartbeat, you can make millions with this simple step-by-step system.”
He also poses a question to these so-called gurus…
“Why don’t you do it already if it’s so easy and profitable?”
Because it’s much easier to tell others how to do it than to do it yourself.
Beyond the negativity, some business ideas are legitimate and could be a great fit for you. There is some information that is excellent, useful and educational. From thousands of seminars to simple $29 eBooks that provide just enough information to stay one step ahead of the competition.
But just be careful and make sure you understand what you’re getting and who it’s from. And beyond the information, make sure that the business idea suits you, your personality and your goals.
