If you’re like me, you’ve probably searched the internet for tips and tricks to help your baby sleep better. Let me give you some tips and pointers that my wife and I have found most helpful in helping us get more sleep too!
If you search the Internet, you will find tons of “tips” on how to get your baby to sleep better. You can find:
1. Find out where your baby sleeps best.
2. Get the baby used to different sleep associations.
3. Listen and learn when baby gets tired.
4. Set a consistent sleep and bedtime.
5. Feed the baby a lot during the day.
6. Warm up the cot.
7. Change the baby’s diaper and put on comfortable clothes.
8. Take the baby for a drive.
9. Get into PJ’s.
10. Music or sleep sounds for the baby.
11. Create different bedtime rituals.
12. Use a consistent bedtime ritual (note that this contradicts #11).
13. Place the baby in the crib and put your hands on it.
14. Play a recording of your own voice in the baby’s room.
15. Leave one of Mom’s nursing pads in the crib with you.
The list goes on and on…
In addition to all these solutions, almost as many questions remain unanswered.
