Hypnotic Writing Sales Secrets: Three Hypnotic Sales Tips for Online Marketing
Hypnotic Writing? Yes… that’s right, but it’s not want you think. Actually, if you know anything about how hypnotherapy works, you would know that it’s actually impossible to get anyone to do something (or buy something) that they don’t truly want. The hypnotic writing secrets I’m disclosing in this post are directed towards people who probably would want something, and you just want to nudge them into that space where they feel comfortable with buying what you have to offer.
With any kind of attraction marketing is has to be the “buyer’s idea” to make the purchase. People love to buy, but they hate to be sold. So it’s your job to make them believe that they have the idea to make the purchase.
Just as a prospective, let’s consider where people struggle… They struggle in getting people to talk to (obtaining leads). Also, people struggle with “selling” the people. The most important thing to remember is that it’s a waste of time to talk to people who aren’t interested. It’s not what you say to your prospects to get them on the phone; the most important things are: the process that leads them to the presentation, and the presentation itself. If you have a great presentation, your prospects will literally chase you down to join you.
People like to be communicated with in very predictable ways. Here are some basic hypnotic writing techniques…
1 – No matter what you’re presenting, you have to break and get their attention. What I mean is that you do something or say something that causes people to stop what they’re doing and focus their attention on you. This is more important these days than ever, because the internet marketing world is more saturated with marketers than it ever has been, so you have to find a way to stand out in the crowd. Be sure that your opening statement is different and grabs attention. For example, compare the following:
“Hi, my name is Bob, and in this presentation I’m going to instruct you how to get more leads for your business. And today in the presentation I’ll be talking about is…”
OR
“What do you do when your dream dies?”
Did you not find your mind wandering immediately when Bob started with this pitch? And what about the guy who didn’t say his name, but just asked a question to make you think? Didn’t it just grab you?
You have to find a way to get people to pay attention to you NOW. Otherwise, you’re wasting your time typing or talking.
2- Create rapport. Rapport in online marketing is the magical state where you feel a connection with someone else. Everyone can create rapport naturally, but it’s our skepticism and prejudices that keep us from trusting people; and that can prevent us from creating the rapport we need to build with our potential customers. You have to learn how to trust in your heart to create rapport. The best way to build a rapport with a stranger is to tell a story. When you can tell your personal story with a blog post or video, people get to feel that they know you, even before they’ve met you.
3 – Beware of using negative language. Many people make this mistake. The human mind has a “BS filter”… they tend to block out that which sounds like you’re trying to push them into something. You must beware of using language that negates, because it could have the reverse effect on the individual. Take for example, say to someone who is trying to quit smoking, “you’ll never want to put another cigarette into your mouth again”… doesn’t that make you think of smoking? Or, “from now on, you will never want to eat ice cream”… doesn’t that just sent you to the freezer immediately? People tend to think about that which you tell them not to think about. So you have to be careful when you’re trying to get people to come to your business choice or product.
Wrong way: “Are you tired of being stuck in your cubicle at work?”
Right way: “Aren’t you sick and tired of not having all the money that you wanted to have in your life?”
If instead, the same thing was said as “imagine having all the money you want to have”… a lot of people’s minds will resist the thought because their BS filter keeps from listening because they don’t want a sales pitch.
It’s important to be real and authentic in your writings, because you don’t want that BS filter to block you. Don’t be afraid to speak from your gut. You will always get people who hate you when you market online, but those who love you will follow you to the ends of the earth.
