The Key (A Fairytale) – Chapter 2 – Ariya (Part 4)

A few weeks passed with no sign of Ariya as I continued this strange search for a mystical key. I didn’t know where I was going, or maybe I did.

Anyway, one morning while wading through a flooded area after a heavy thunderstorm, I found myself sinking. The more I struggled, the deeper I sank. Conqueror started but I ordered him to hold it while I tried to think still. I knew that quicksand likes its victims to struggle, so I stayed still, but still slowly sank as I frantically searched for something to cling to.

In the middle of this mud-hole I found myself in, there was not a single branch within reach, so I tried to swim with my arms, which proved almost disastrous, as I sank within inches of my nose. Conqueror started inward, disobeying my command, and he began to sink, but he got close enough for me to grab his mane and hold myself up. Now we are both sunk.

Suddenly a tree strangely tore itself from the side of the pit and fell right through it, close enough for me to reach. Except for his head, however, Conqueror remained under the water, and with all my strength I held his head above the mud with one arm, while with the other I struggled against the tree. We’re both stuck, but at least we haven’t sunk yet.

The day dragged on endlessly. We were unable to move, and even with a team of horses, the Conqueror was too heavy to pull out of the quicksand. As night fell, my arms shook with fatigue. I knew I could take it no longer, and just as I thought of sinking myself rather than let my horse slide under the muddy mud, the whole forest suddenly caught fire as if it were on fire. . . blue-green fire.

Ariya merely pointed to the quicksand, and as soon as she did, Conqueror and I found ourselves in the middle of a vast field filled with waves of violets so bright they brought tears to my eyes. How can anything so beautiful exist? It was as if Ariya had given me a glimpse of what might lie ahead. A moment later we were back in the woods next to the pit of quicksand and our life preserver was standing tall by the bank as if nothing had happened.

“My great king, you sure have a knack for getting yourself into trouble, don’t you?” Ariya smiled. “Does that come naturally or do you have to work at it?”

He never seemed serious about my encounters, probably because he was never worried and probably already knew my fate, even though I was working on it as I went along.

“How did that tree break itself out?” I asked skeptically.

“The trees know,” she answered.

“I don’t know,” I protested. “If you are my helper, why don’t you answer all my questions?”

“Because your questions are stupid, you’ll realize that yourself one day.”

“Well, they don’t look stupid to me now! Couldn’t you at least answer one or two since you’re already here saving my life again?”

“It’s fine, my king,” she smiled. “Let me start this way; there is the unimaginable. It never had a beginning and it will never end. Or rather, I’ll call it the unimaginable of the original Source consciousness of everything that ever was or ever will be, or we could call it. This is reality. I’ll explain it simply. things for your current rather limited consciousness to understand.

“Yes,” I replied.

“Now the unimaginable love that this Source radiates cannot be contained, so it flows outward. It then accumulates various characteristics in its travels, creating physical and immaterial existences in such quantity and variety that they are indescribable.

“One of these forms, the human being, eventually develops enough intelligence to recognize that he is separated from the pure consciousness of this Reality from which he originates. Humans achieve this separation by confusing the pure consciousness of Reality with worldly pursuits. , and this is done intuitively and unbeknownst to the muddled mind, there is a natural desire to reunite with Reality, which then develops into a desire to return, but at this point one has no idea where one is returning or how to get there.”

“Why doesn’t the Source just keep human consciousness pure, then beings wouldn’t have to go through so much trouble to come back,” I asked.

“Because the Source is not a creator God.”

“Then answer this, Ariya,” said I, pointing to the stars, “why all this; why nothing

Ariya said with a broad smile that she was convinced I had the intelligence to find the key because the question I asked was a primary philosophical question for intelligent beings in all spheres; “Why not just nothing?”

“Okay, you asked a good question, the classic question: Why not anything?” Are you ready with your answer? he asked playfully.

“Ready!” I said. It was more like that. I just got real answers!

“Okay, here’s your answer, my king. Since the Source is pure love, and since this kind of love cannot be held back,” he explained, “love has no choice but to flow outward. This love flows out—again, words are inadequate.” ” here, but it’s the best I can do with your limited language and intelligence, don’t be offended – love flows in waves of love, each has free will, as does the Source.

These waves gain weight as they travel, eventually converting to energy before exploding into matter. This matter, originally derived from the love of Source, has no choice but to one day return to this Source. You see, everything is in cycle and every act of love must be reciprocated. This is a law, and this return begins for humanity when the longing of certain higher consciousness human beings becomes overwhelming, leaving them with no choice but to find their way back to the pure consciousness of true Reality.”

What Ariya said perfectly explained the pain I was feeling and finding the key must be the promised solution. It’s hard to explain this feeling, like something was lost, but I didn’t know what it was and when I lost it, like I was in a fog. I just knew that this gnawing feeling deep inside would stay until I got it back.

Ariya continued, “The Source breathes out and his love creates everything, then the Source breathes in and everything returns. However, in human calculation the time required for one breath of the Source is unimaginable, so it will take eons. The source breathes in and everything returns.”

“If everything is returned,” I objected, “why should I go through this laborious effort to find the key? I’ll just wait!”

“When the Source breathes in,” he continued without missing a beat, “the material universe collapses back into pure energy and then returns to its Source, but it will be a long time, a very long time.” Instead of suffering thousands through thousands of Human Rebirths, where you have to face the pain of birth, then the struggle for survival, and finally death, why not escape the physical form forever in this life?

“Unfortunately, people with undeveloped consciousness cannot understand this desire to return to their loving Source, to Reality. Of course they also desire, but because they are spiritually immature, they mistakenly believe that the world can satisfy this desire. desiring, not grasping the Immensity of Source. Consequently, they spend every moment of their time here, playing with the things of the world. Because their understanding is fundamentally flawed, they keep banging their heads against the wall of this world, acquiring countless things, but suffering unspeakable disappointments, hoping for fulfillment and happiness. You see, bad they look for gold in the barn and find only horse shit.”

Conqueror felt her leg, but I couldn’t help but smile at Ariya’s honesty. It was impressive. I couldn’t believe that he had so much knowledge and was able to pass it on.

Suddenly I heard the unmistakable “thump” of a crossbow, followed by the unique sound of an arrow zipping through the leaves. But before I could react, I found myself in a vast desert, surrounded by stars and silence. The constellations were strange. I could make out the “Southern Cross” I’d seen drawings of, sketches of sailors venturing to the far south of the world, but I had no idea where I was.

“There are those who seek power like you, my great king, and will do anything to get it. You have many enemies, both from the kingdoms you have conquered and your own court, which by the way has now taken control of Ayatana. They fear your return and from regaining power, so they sent soldiers to kill you, secretly placing a bounty on your head. These warriors and mercenaries are well paid for your death, so you must always be vigilant. I will protect you when I am around, but I cannot guarantee your safety at all times, so always you must be careful. I have now taken you very far from your attackers, but soon you will return to a forest where they will remain. This is all from your past actions, which I am powerless to change.”

“I have to go now. You are in a safe place. Until your heart aches with such pain for some reason that emotions suddenly overwhelm you for no apparent reason and the sight of colorful flowers makes you cry deeply; then you don’t have to worry too much about the danger, but don’t be a fool. The thing that hurts is always close. Look for it when you smile at a baby and it smiles back in its innocence, and you stare at each other in speechless wonder.

“Stay true to your mission, my king… until we meet again.” I looked up and the Southern Cross was gone, replaced by the familiar star patterns of my old forest. I came back. ( To be continued)
