ARF-MC – The Life Performance Model

Remember this abbreviation! It sounds a bit strange, but this information has been in the works for 20 years. I challenge anyone to confront him. Think of all the great accomplishments you’ve accomplished and you’ll find this model in all of them! Guaranteed!

1. Attitude

Your body reflects your attitude. Every unwanted pound is an unwanted thought that you need to shed. Think thin and you will be thin. Love your body and you will attract more people, places and things that will lead you to love your body more, such as: health, wealth and healthy people. If you are disgusted with your body, you will attract people, places, and things that support this thought, such as disease, poverty, and unhealthy people.

A healthy attitude is what leads to the success of an exercise program; not the training program itself!

Just as a germinating flower reflects what is fed at its roots, your body reflects your attitude. Right now, your body is the sum total of all the thoughts and decisions you’ve made so far. When you are anxious and worried, your body reflects an anxious and worried attitude. There is no way to change the attitude without the body following. Therefore, your mental perception of your life should be the first thing to change; not your cardio program!

2. Restoration

If your body is too tired, it cannot perform at its peak. Massage therapy is a comprehensive treatment that harmonizes the whole body. It can help treat chronic headaches, spinal and nerve problems, PMS, chronic fatigue syndrome and countless other disease symptoms. Hydrotherapy is one of the fastest ways to heal. Jacuzzi, pool and ice are examples of hydrotherapy. They are one of the most commonly used components in rehabilitation centers. Our body is 75% water; so it’s no wonder why water is our main source of energy. Myo-facial therapy is a technique that aims to remove all the knots from the muscles to help the body with postural deviations and general movement. If you are injured, you will not enter the game. Recovery helps prevent injury.

If you train your body too hard without giving it enough time to recover, it will rebel against you with injuries and mental burnout. The recovery component is the most well thought out component of all training. The old school mindset is neither pain nor gain. But the new school mindset is more pain equals more pain! Don’t let pride get in the way of results. Listen to your body and strategically plan your training program by planning your days off in advance. You also want to plan how you will take some days off. Whether it’s a splash in the ocean water, which is great for your body, or a massage, get your body right! You will thank yourself with results.

3. Fuel

Water content regulates all body functions. The lack of this natural lubricant means various symptoms, signs and complications that are now called diseases. It is a natural remedy for many health conditions such as: arthritis, lower back pain, headaches, constipation, asthma and allergies. It is also excellent for weight loss. Many people eat too much because they are unconsciously trying to quench their thirst.

Many times people strain and tear their muscles and the first thing they think is that they didn’t stretch enough. However, the body can indicate dryness in certain areas by causing various pains and injuries in certain areas of the body. Back pain, arthritis and headaches are just some of the symptoms of dehydration.

A doctor rarely questions your hydration when you walk in complaining of joint pain. They say rest, ice, and buy their drug, which is promoted by a powerful pharmaceutical company. They don’t question how hydrated your body is; they treat the symptom of dehydration. Over time, this symptom turns into something else that requires more medication or surgery. The medical industry exploits our body’s thirst for water and we don’t even know it. Think of your body like a car. If a car were low on oil, it would slowly destroy the engine or any other area that needs lubrication. Our bodies are the same way.

The less water you drink, the more your joints hurt. So when your body hurts, don’t reach for the pill, reach for the water. You want to drink at least half your body weight in ounces. For example, I weigh 225 pounds, so I want to drink at least 113 ounces of water a day, or a little under a gallon. We cannot adhere to the traditional 8 cups a day, because not everyone is the same. A college offensive lineman can’t drink as much water as a 125 pound woman!

Food keeps your metabolism burning all day. Think of your metabolism as a wood-burning fire. A fire burns fastest and hottest if you feed it with small pieces of wood all day. It will burn slowly if you add a huge piece of wood once or twice a day. The goal is to eat five or six times a day and keep the fire burning fast. 75% of your success is determined by how thorough you are with your food diary. It may take a few weeks to get used to regular daily meals; especially if you only eat 1-2 times a day for 10-20 years. Be patient with yourself and know that you will make mistakes because you are human.

Much of the food we eat is laced with pesticides, chemicals, and hormones that affect the mind like any other drug. Fruits and vegetables are essentially a sponge that absorbs any nutrients or chemicals from the soil. No wonder we have a society where inexplicable pain and illness prevail. Our animals are full of hormones that affect our bodies when we eat them. The best way is to eat all organic fruits and vegetables, as well as cage-free and hormone-free animal products. It will definitely affect your mind and body. Most importantly, it improves your life performance.

Multivitamins are designed to provide nutrients not found in the regular diet. It is highly unlikely that we can eat a perfect diet in a time-crunched, cell phone and internet society and not need a multivitamin. A multivitamin contains as many nutrients as 5000 calories!

4. Movement

Power is a combination of strength, agility and speed. You want to be strong, fast and agile, whether you are a professional athlete or a cabin queen. The weaker, slower and more uncoordinated you are, the faster your body ages and the better you look! Men have traveled across the Atlantic and died to find the fountain of youth; but you can create the best possible machine by training a strong body. Your capabilities will depend on your lifestyle and time constraints. The human body is the best machine ever designed. Earth doesn’t do the same thing every day. It doesn’t shine every day and it doesn’t rain every day. Training should reflect life. You can run, walk, swim, cycle, lift weights, do pilates or yoga. Just do something!

Moderate to high intensity cardio burns more calories than old school low intensity cardio. The burn after moderate to high intensity cardio sessions lasts much longer than low intensity cardio. Weight lifting is even more beneficial because it helps to keep the body’s metabolism higher for 2-3 days. Cardio burns muscles, so you can’t just do cardio. The afterburn caused by weights lasts for days, compared to a few hours of cardio. Our goal is to train at a higher intensity to create more of an afterburn and challenge the mental and physical aspects of our training. Sprinting helps release human growth hormone, which greatly helps in increasing muscle mass and speeding up metabolism. It also prepares you for life’s emergencies. We will not always be able to walk at our own pace; sometimes you have to sprint across the street for your dog, your child or your life!

5. Coaching

There has never been a successful person without a coach or mentor. Where do you get your health and fitness information? A knowledgeable and experienced source? Certificates can be discarded based on experience. We say this because we have both. Most health and fitness information starts in the trenches and works its way down to the ink. We know we don’t have all the answers. We know that some of the ideas we follow today may be disproved tomorrow. If we don’t have the answer to a problem, we seek out and find someone who does, rather than simply telling someone something we have no idea about. We recommend that all our customers do their own research to feel confident in the knowledge they possess.

Knowledge controls how far we can go in life. It creates division in people, money, and most importantly, your health. We must always seek more knowledge and try to bring ourselves to perfection, knowing that we will never get there. This is the fastest way to reach your next destination. You can never have enough knowledge. Don’t commit to one style of exercise. Body Blast training is just one style of training. There are an infinite number of training methods. Your training methods should be like water, constantly changing. This is the law of life. Your body will only respond to the laws of life.
