Guitar Songs For Beginners – Top 3 Easiest Guitar Songs Ever Written Anyone Can Play
Playing the guitar is one of the deepest pleasures that life can offer. But many beginning guitarists get discouraged too quickly. The problem is that very often they try to learn guitar songs that are too difficult for them. If you are a beginner, you need to learn guitar songs for beginners first. Here are three very easy songs to get you started:
1- A horse without a name – America
No doubt you know this song. It’s the easiest song I can think of and my 9 year old son has been playing it on his very first day of learning guitar. It’s very simple, with only two chords to learn; E minor and Dadd6add9 (shown in the diagram below). Don’t let the name of the chord scare you, both chords only require two fingers to play. If you don’t know how to read tablature, the first row represents the first string, which is high E and the last row is low E. The numbers indicate what pain to play.
E minor – Dadd6add9

—–2———0—– (middle finger in E minor)
—–2———0—– (index E minor)
—–0———2—– (index Dadd6add9)
2 – For what it’s worth – Buffalo Springfield
This song also only consists of two chords. These are E and A major. They are a bit more difficult because you need three fingers to play them instead of two as in the previous song, but they are still very easy to master. The x in the diagram below means you don’t play that string.
E major – A major

—–0———2—– (unnamed A)
—–1———2—– (E, middle finger A)
—–2———-2—– (untitled E, first name A)
—–2———0—– (middle finger E)
—–0———–x—–
3 – Feeling good – Traffic
Now the great thing about this song is that you don’t have to learn any new chords. It consists of the same two chords as in the previous song; E and A major.
