5 Effective Ways to Treat Hemorrhoids
For the longest time, the pain associated with hemorrhoids was something I did not know first hand. I knew the pains were quite bad, as I had seen my aunt suffer from them, but it was a pain that I couldn’t fully associate with.
That was until one day, a few months ago.
I was suffering from constipation at that time, which was nothing new to me. However, on that particular day, taking a poop was near impossible. My stool was extremely hard and by the end of the process, the pain I was feeling was more than any other pain I felt after taking a poop.
Like old times, I thought, the pain will pass after a while, but to my surprise it actually didn’t. By the end of the day, I had resolved to eating the recommended daily fiber, so that I never have to go through constipation ever again.
To my dismay, the pain continued for days after, and I started getting really scared, because reality was settling in. I was in constant pain and very few things helped.
So after that, and after finding great solutions to my predicament, I wanted to share with you the best way to get rid of hemorrhoids based on my experience:
1. Make sure that you drink adequate amounts of water. Dehydration, at least for me, is terrible, as it makes the stool hard, which makes it more difficult to pass. It’s part of the reason why I was getting constipated, because I was not drinking enough water.
2. Eat enough fiber – fiber is what keeps most people regular. It helps the stool be smooth and much easier to pass. So make sure you eat adequate amounts of fruits and vegetables as they contain a lot of fiber. A lack of fiber definitely contributed to my constipation issues.
3. Use soft toilet paper – when I had hemorrhoids, the toilet paper I was using had to be extra soft. That is because the hard ones just made my hemorrhoids hurt more and I was in pain more, so the softer the better.
4. Get treatment for your hemorrhoids – I suffered so badly with my hemorrhoids before I managed to get the right treatment. Some people are able to use over the counter medications that work for them, which is great. For me, I got relief through using Venapro.
5. Take a warm bath – a warm bath always helped me with the pain. I would take a warm bath and almost just soak myself in it. By the time I got out, I would always feel better.
I hope that these 5 tips will help you deal with your hemorrhoids. The important thing is to stay hydrated and of course, to eat enough fiber in the foods that you eat.
