Tayshaun Durell Prince, born on February 28, 1980, in Compton, California, is an American basketball executive and former professional player. He played college basketball at the University of Kentucky from 1998 to 2002, earning SEC Player of the Year honors in 2001. Selected 23rd overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2002 NBA Draft, Prince was a key contributor to the Pistons' 2004 NBA Championship team. Known for his defensive prowess, he was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team four times between 2005 and 2008. Throughout his 14-season NBA career, Prince also played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, and Minnesota Timberwolves, averaging 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. After retiring as a player, he transitioned into an executive role and currently serves as the Vice President of Basketball Affairs for the Memphis Grizzlies.
